スペイン・マドリードに本拠を置くサンタンデール銀行がリップル社と提携して、国際送金アプリをリリースします。同アプリではリップル社の xCurrent と RippleNet が使用されるようです。

アプリでクロスボーダー決済
The bank’s UK CEO, Nathan Bostock has confirmed that in the next few months the bank is going to launch an international money transfer app joining hands with Ripple. The FinTech company Ripple carries out cross-border payments through its blockchain based Xcurrent and RippleNet products.
サンタンデール UK の CEO ネイサン・ボストック氏は、同行はリップル社と提携し、数ヶ月後に国際送金アプリを公開すると発表しました。フィンテック企業のリップル社は、ブロックチェーンベースの xCurrent と RippleNet プロダクトにより、クロスボーダー決済を行います。
The CEO on Friday said that they will be the first large retail bank to carry out cross-border payments at scale with blockchain technology if nobody beats them to it.
ボストック氏は金曜日、他社に先行されなければ、サンタンデール銀行はブロックチェーン技術を使用して大規模なクロスボーダー決済を行う世界初の大手小売銀行になると述べました。
The press release from UK Santander says:
“Once the app is downloaded, users need to complete their profile details and can then start to make payments. It connects to Apple Pay, where users can confirm payments securely using Touch ID. It lets users transfer between £10 and £10,000 and payments can be made from GBP to EUR and USD.”
サンタンデール銀行はプレスリリースで次のように述べています。
「ユーザはこのアプリをダウンロードして個人情報を設定すれば決済が行えるようになります。Apple Pay と連携することで、Touch ID のセキュリティを使って決済を完了することができます。ユーザは 10〜10,000 ポンドの送金ができ、イギリスポンドからユーロや米ドルへの決済が行えます」
今回はリップル関連の記事でした。
記事によると、同アプリはスペイン、ブラジル、イギリス、ポーランドで利用開始となり、国際送金が 24 時間以内に行えるようになるとのことです。
